The stator generates the motor’s magnetic field; the rotor spins inside it carrying the magnets that field acts on. When a motor’s core fails, the two most common root causes — winding burnout from sustained overload, and bearing wear letting the rotor scrape the stator — can produce very similar symptoms from the outside: power loss, unusual noise, or a dead motor. Buying and fitting both parts together, instead of guessing which one is actually at fault, is the more reliable repair path when the motor is already apart.
Fits the BBS02 750W UART kit and BBS02B CAN-BUS kit. If you’re confident the fault is isolated to one part, the stator and rotor are also sold separately. For fitting, our full Bafang service handles the complete rebuild.
