Our Cardiff workshop specialises in Bafang mid-drive motor servicing and fault diagnosis — covering routine maintenance, gear reduction servicing, nylon gear replacement, bearing inspection, controller faults, display error codes, and full motor rebuilds where required. Bafang BBS motors are robust by design but do require periodic servicing to maintain performance — particularly the nylon reduction gear, which is a wear component on all BBS01B and BBS02B units and should be inspected every 1,000–2,000 miles depending on riding conditions and motor load. We work on all three BBS units — BBS01B, BBS02B, and BBSHD — as well as Bafang hub motor systems.
