Build a Battery That's Made For Your Ride, Not Off The Shelf
Pre-made battery packs come in fixed voltages and capacities — great if your build happens to match one exactly, frustrating if it doesn't. Our Custom Battery Builder lets you set the voltage, capacity, cell brand, connector, charger and BMS yourself, so the pack you get is sized to the motor and controller you're actually running.

Which Voltage Does Your Conversion Kit Need?
Matching voltage and continuous current to your motor is the single biggest factor in getting good range and avoiding voltage sag under load. If you're running (or planning) a Bafang 250W mid-drive kit, you'll need a 36V pack. Step up to a Bafang 750W CAN-BUS mid-drive or a Rear Hub Motor 48V–52V 1000W and you're building at 48V or 52V.
The Rear Hub Motor 48V–72V 3000W runs on either voltage, so you can build for cost and range at 48V or top-end performance at 72V. For serious power, the Rear Hub Motor 72V 5000W and Rear Hub Motor 72V 8000W both need a high-discharge 72V pack — we'd recommend 25Ah or higher to avoid sag under hard acceleration.
Choosing Your Cells and Capacity
Every build offers a choice of premium cell brands — Eve, LG M50 or Samsung 50E — so you're never limited to a single supplier's stock. Capacity runs from 10Ah for lightweight, short-range builds up to 50Ah for long-distance and high-drain setups, with continuous current configurable from 15A to 120A to match your controller's rated draw.

How do I know which voltage battery I need?
Check the label on your motor or controller — it will list the rated voltage (typically 36V, 48V, 52V or 72V). If you're building alongside one of our conversion kits, each product page lists the recommended battery voltage and capacity for that specific motor.
What's the difference between Eve, LG M50 and Samsung 50E cells?
All three are proven, name-brand lithium cells widely used in ebike battery packs, differing mainly in discharge characteristics and price point. We'll recommend the best match for your capacity and continuous current once you enter your build specs.
Can I build a custom battery for any conversion kit, not just ones bought from you?
Yes. As long as you know the required voltage and continuous current draw, the builder works for any compatible motor and controller — not just kits purchased from All4eBikes.
