This is a full twist-action throttle in the motorcycle-style ergonomics that Sur-Ron off-road electric bikes made a common reference point in the DIY ebike world, rather than the smaller bicycle-style twist grips found on older or lower-power conversions. It outputs a standard Hall-effect signal over a 3-pin waterproof connector, which most hub motor and mid-drive controllers accept as a generic throttle input — including Bafang systems, via an adapter cable to match the connector.
Fits 22mm handlebars and suits builds running 12V to 72V systems. Works with hub motor kits such as our rear hub motor 48V–72V 3000W kit. If you’d prefer a plain, no-frills version of the same twist action without the SUR-RON branding, see our generic twist throttle. For a Bafang mid-drive specifically, our Bafang thumb throttle is the direct plug-and-play match.
