UART, not CAN — check which protocol your motor uses before ordering. This is the EB-Bus harness for BBS01(B), BBS02(B) and BBSHD. Bafang’s newer CAN-protocol mid-drives (G330, G510, M600, M620) use a visually similar 1T4 cable that is electronically different and not interchangeable.

The Cable That Ties the Cockpit to the Motor

“1T4” means one connector splitting to four: a single waterproof plug runs to the motor, and the loom branches into four separate waterproof leads for the display, the throttle, and the left and right brake cut-off levers. This is the harness that physically connects everything on your handlebars back to the drive unit — if it is damaged, cut wrong, or the wrong protocol for your motor, nothing upstream of it works correctly.

Why Riders Replace This Cable

The most common reasons are a damaged outer sheath or connector pin from a re-route or frame rebuild, building a kit from separately sourced parts and needing the correct harness to link them, or changing frame size and needing a different length than the one that shipped with the kit. Whatever the reason, get the protocol right first — a CAN-bus cable will not work on a UART motor and vice versa, even though the connectors can look similar at a glance.
