Two-piece magnet ring + stationary Hall sensor clip · For non-Bafang mid-drive and custom bottom-bracket builds
A magnet ring sized to fit around the bottom bracket spindle rotates with the crank, while a separate Hall sensor mounted on a small bracket sits stationary nearby, reading each magnet as it passes to signal the controller that you’re pedalling. This two-piece architecture is the standard design used across generic and custom mid-drive conversions — distinct from Bafang’s own integrated crank-mount sensor design.
If you’re building or repairing a genuine Bafang BBS01, BBS02 or BBSHD, our dedicated Bafang PAS sensor is the correct, purpose-fit part. Reach for this one instead if you’re working with a non-Bafang mid-drive motor, a custom-built conversion, or a bottom bracket spindle shape a Bafang-specific magnet ring isn’t designed for.
Suits generic and custom mid-drive builds with an appropriate bottom bracket. For Bafang BBS01/02/HD kits specifically, use the Bafang PAS sensor instead.
