Unlike the BBSHD, whose drive unit sits well outboard of a standard bottom bracket and needs an aggressively offset chainring to compensate, the BBS02’s stock chainline sits much closer to normal — Bafang’s own manual gives a nominal 50mm chainline, with real-world measurement on a 68mm bottom bracket closer to 52mm. This chainring’s built-in offset covers that gap for most builds. If you’re still seeing cross-chaining in your lowest one or two gears with a particular cassette or hub combination, that’s a smaller, secondary adjustment rather than the significant correction a BBSHD build always needs.
Fits the BBS01 250W kit and BBS02 750W UART kit. You’ll need a matching bicycle chain to go with a new chainring. If your motor is a BBSHD, see the 42T offset chainring or 36T offset chainring instead — this ring will not fit that motor.
