This is the frame-mounted half of a removable downtube or triangle battery system. It bolts to the standard bottle-cage bosses on your frame, and the battery case’s own base has matching slots that slide down over the rail and click into place. The connector makes electrical contact automatically the moment the case seats — no separate plug to connect each ride, just slide the battery on and go.
The plastic rail and connector pins take a lot of repeated mechanical stress — every insertion and removal of the battery works the same plastic lugs and contact points. Cracked rails and worn pins are one of the most common reasons riders end up replacing this bracket rather than the battery itself. If your battery case still holds charge fine but is loose on the mount or losing contact intermittently, this bracket is usually the fix, not the battery.
This suits Reention/Hailong-style 5-pin battery cases such as our 48V 35Ah triangle battery or 48V 20Ah downtube battery — but because pin spacing is not standardised across the market, confirm against your specific case before ordering rather than assuming any 5-pin base fits any 5-pin battery.
